Beach Day

It was finally a hot enough day to go to the beach. We packed a lunch and spent 4 hours just digging and playing and getting some sun.
We got this bucket at Walmart and the people who sat right next to us, even though there was tons of room, had the same one. Somehow theirs got lost and the little girl tried to take ours. It was a battle, but we left with it. She thought we were lying.
Here's the big castle moat they dug around our blanket. Adam said that's the first thing he wants to do when we go back again.

The water was way too cold to get it, so me and Amy relaxed on the blanket and found shells and stuff. We love the beach.

Pig Festival

A little town called Newport is about 10 minutes drive away. They have an annual pig cooking contest and also have rides. We went with our friends the Martins. Elli and Brooke wanted to ride the twirly twister. I get sick just looking at it.
Adam chose to spend one of his 2 tickets on a gigantic Titanic slide. Adam loves anything to do with the Titanic. It looked like it was sinking and he would not stop talking about it until he got to ride.
Amy freaked out on her merry-go-round ride and I had to hold her on the horse the whole time, so I didnt' get a picture of her. But here she is playing a song on the piano.

Amy plays with a girl from our ward named Taylor. People get them mixed up all the time. They are both 3 and both the 3rd kid.
Elli plays with Taylor's sister, Savannah. People also get them mixed up. They are both the 2nd kid and in my class at Primary.

We love Spring!

Here is Adam showing us his missing tooth that finally fell out after many gross days of dwindling on the edge.
Here he is 3 days later with a bigger gap. He lost the second at a t-ball game. He was getting a drink when a friend bonked the bottle. Coach Matt pulled it out right before it was Adam's turn to bat. Adam turned yellowish green and looked like he was about to throw up, but got a good hit anyways. He said he finally knows what blood tastes like and he doesn't like it.
I usually don't like to dress the girls in matching clothes, but I couldn't help it this day. Elise, who does this remind you of? Maybe it's a middle child thing to be grumpy in all the pictures.
The kids are enjoying the nice weather and are outside a lot now. Remember summers when you were a kid?

Spring Fever!

I don't know what I did, but I love the light in this picture. Elli was bored and was climbing on everything.
Amy is on my lap at the T-ball opening ceremony. It was so warm that we took our jackets off at 9 o'clock in the morning.
Adam and Elli are on the same team. Adam plays short stop and Elli plays behind him in left field. Adam has really improved since last year. That morning after he got dressed, he said he looks like a real baseball player. I think he looks so old! Elli's uniform is too big and I think it makes her look so little. Right in the middle of the inning, she came running across the infield to me in the bleachers so I could tie her glove.
This is the trampoline. Riley got it all set up after a couple tries. I was inside out of the way which is always best whenever he assembles anything. The kids wake up and want to jump on it first thing.

Here's Amy blowing out her candles on her 3rd Birthday. I think Elli really wanted to help but she seems hypnotized by the candles.

Another Little Pony. She's got quite a few of these things but she still gets so excited every time she gets a new one.

All the party goodies.

Our house

Here are a few pictures of our kitchen and piano. I wanted to show them to my mom, but now everyone can see them. I got the idea for the chairs from a catalogue and thought I could copy them. I like how they turned out. Riley painted the table for me. It took several sandings and coats, but it worked.
Here's a little closer of the chair. It doesn't look like it, but it took me forever to do the flowers. Kathy, please don't be mad.
This is the used piano we bought last week. It is several years old and the keys are not as tight, but for my amateurness, it is perfect. I hardly get a chance to play between naps and the kids taking their turns, but I reward myself if I get all my chores done. I was thinking of painting it yellow or green, what do you think?

The Girls

This was Elli's pink day. She picked out all pink clothes and a pink ribbon and we had to paint her fingernails and toenails pink too.
Amy was just playing on the couch with her Polly Pockets (her favorite things to play with right now). She loves to wear her hair like this. She calls it the "princess hair".

Settling in

Here's Riley and Adam on their first day of work and school. Adam said he didn't want to go back to school but I think deep down he was really excited. He really wasn't looking forward to wearing a uniform but after the first day he saw that everyone else has to wear them too so he doesn't complain quite as much. The bus picks him up just at the end of the street and he usually tries to run out there at least ten or fifteen minutes before it comes. He's already had a couple of friends over from his class after school to play.
Brook found an awesome recipe for this sandwich thing. You bake it between two cookie sheets and it comes out all crisp and warm. We told Adam that this one was his and to dig in. He wasn't sure if we were joking or not and tried to take a bite but didn't get too far. This recipe is a keeper, though. It was really good. It's the next best thing to Papa Kelsey's, our favorite sandwich place in Idaho Falls.

When Riley was putting together all of his gear Elli couldn't help but try everything on. Good thing she had a helmet on because she kept running into everything.

ChRiStMaS dAy!

Kids woke up about 6:30 after a long sleepless night. They got to open a present the night before and all were dissappointed to find matching pajamas.

More Space!

I'm standing in the dining part of the kitchen. Look at all those cupboards!

Next is the longest room of the house. I'm standing at the back of the play room. How do you break up that? Last is the other end. I had to show the church accordian wall. Pretty groovy! The fire place does not work. It actually looks nice with all our stuff in it.

New Place

Here's the front of our long ranch home. Next is the moving truck. Last is our backyard and super view.
